On Thursday 14 October, has the 18 hours, share and discuss proposals for action for the future metropolis of Barcelona, in an online conference at the Institut d’Estudis Regionals i Metropolitans de Barcelona.

The socio-economic and ecological impacts of the pandemic mark a substantial turning point in the daily dynamics of the metropolis and place us in rethinking the future from unforeseen scenarios.. At the Institute of Regional and Metropolitan Studies of Barcelona (IERMB), they have worked from the first moment, to portray this new reality with agility and rigor. They have done this by generating new knowledge as well as strategic proposals for action.

On these actions and on the evidence found, over the past few months, will talk about it in a conference aims to share and discuss the impacts and strategic proposals for the future metropolis, collected at l’Barcelona Metropolitan Yearbook 2020, prepared by the IERMB.

Among the proposed actions: a metropolitan minimum wage; mobility plan with a gender perspective; boost to the metropolitan neighborhood plan; rule of the 30% of sheltered housing on urban land; endow the Fund with a metropolitan scale 0-16, as an instrument of action against severe child poverty… a decalogue of proposals that invite us to consult.
